Our Judges
This year's judges are composed of highly esteemed professionals in the CPG industry, each with a wealth of experience and specialized knowledge.
Deepa Gandhi, Co-Founder and COO, Dagne Dover
Deepa Gandhi is co-founder and COO of bag brand Dagne Dover in addition to being an angel investor and advisor to other high-growth businesses. Deepa oversees all strategic planning, growth, operations, supply chain, and finance for Dagne Dover. Her analytical rigor combined with her passion for building great brands has made her a key contributor in driving Dagne Dover’s exponential growth since the company’s inception in 2013. She graduated from Johns Hopkins University where she studied International Studies and Entrepreneurship and Management, and she received her MBA from The Wharton School of Business.
Claudia Schubert, Senior Advisor, Boston Consulting Group
Claudia is a seasoned global business leader and board director with over 25 years of experience in strategy, brand-building, and operating model transformation across North America and Europe.
Claudia currently serves as a Senior Advisor with the Boston Consulting Group in the Consumer Practice and as a Non-Executive Director for Vinarchy, one of the world’s largest wine companies. She is also a Director on the Board of Trustees of the Culinary Institute of America, the premier global culinary college. Most recently, serving as President of Diageo North America, she has deep expertise in scaling brands, transforming brand portfolios through M&A and leveraging analytics and technology into winning routes-to-market. She holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and was named Market Watch’s 2023 Industry Executive of the Year.
Eugene Khabensky, VP Strategic Initiatives, DIAGEO
Eugene Khabensky has been with DIAGEO for more than 15 years with roles across different business units and functions.
Nicole Angel, Founder, Angel Ventures NYC
Nicole leads Angel Ventures, a venture firm focused on wellness, sustainability and beauty. Angel Ventures invests starting at the earliest stage of company creation. Angel Ventures has invested in companies such as Saie (clean beauty), ShopMy (influencer and brand marketing tech platform), BTR (better for you snacks), Juliet (sustainable wine) and Brightland (clean olive oil) among many others. In addition to Angel Ventures, Nicole has been an active supporter and on the Board of Directors of Planned Parenthood of New York for the past 20 years. She is a graduate of Columbia university with a masters in education and Tufts University.
